URBAN THAI BISTRO
After 18 years operating as a successful Yaletown stronghold for fresh, locally sourced and flavourful Thai Cusine, we have pulled back the curtain to reveal a fresh and stylish new dining space.
Much like the subtle nuances and delicate balance of spices and herbs for which Thai cuisine is renowned, our new look offers an understated but distinctive blend of rugged post-and-beam design elements with a sleek, modern look. Burnished metallic chandeliers bathe the room in warm and enticing light, rich accents of gold and ebony lend an air of casual elegance, and a host of gleaming Buddha statuettes imported from Chiang Mai in Northern Thailand cast a benevolent eye over the setting.
Our inviting new bar area has an illuminated onyx bar top and flat-screen TV for sports and playoff action. We’ve also extended our new new lounge area, an ideal space for unwinding, great conversation, drinks and lighter fare. During the spring and summer months, enjoy a signature and refreshing Thai cocktails on our heated outdoor patio, facing an always vibrant and bustling Hamilton street.
These refinements to our space run deeper than the surface. Our newest chefs from Thailand have worked tirelessly to expand our freshly updated menu, now providing guests with a wider range of traditional Thai dishes as well as signature creations all made with market-fresh spices and exotic imported ingredients. At our bistro, we consider our respect for fresh preparation and immaculate presentation to be the basis of our traditional and authentic fare. Longtime devotees need not worry, all of our favourite dishes remain included on the menu.
Our most recent offerings include a daily lunch feature from 11:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. for $9 a plate as well as a Happy Hour featuring appetizer and a beverage daily from 3PM-6PM and 9PM-10PM. Just in time for the holidays we have launched a set menu option is available for $30 a guest, as well as a holiday AYCE option for $30 a guest (tax included). For you late night dwellers, we have extended hours on Friday and Saturday nights.
Step inside and as they say in Thailand, “sabai sabai” — Relax. Chill. Leave your worries behind.
